Jeanne Strole, Brooklyn, NYC, In solidarity

Dear Khader & Randa Adnan and family,

I am praying for you to be able to end your hunger strike and to receive justice and relief from your mistreatment at the hands of the Israelis. My ancestors are Catholic from Northern Ireland, so I have some small understanding from my family, and from educating myself about politics and human rights, about occupation. Israel is occupying Palestine in an apartheid state just as surely as such a state of occupation existed in South Africa and still in Northern Ireland. Your struggle against the occupation is a righteous one. I know that your soul will go to God. But I am deeply saddened for your family, for your wife and children. I grew up without a father so the thought of your daughters being deprived of their father by this unjust system pains me. I pray that justice will prevail and you will be allowed to return to your family. May God be with you and all your loved ones. In solidarity,

Jeanne Strole
