I keep a candle burning for you, your family, and for all those who suffer the pain and humiliation that arises from Occupation. Your courageous refusal to submit to the unjust policy of being held without charge known as ‘administrative detention’ is a wake up call for the world. You and your family’s sacrifice born from the refusal to submit to Occupation motivates all of us to struggle even harder for the end of an era of outrage. There are no words to express the deep sorrow I feel over your unjust treatment and the profound injustice of the past sixty years. I pray for your release and the release of the Palestinian people from the injustice of Occupation.
