For Khader's family

Dear Khader’s family,

The Prophet Muhammad was reported to have said, “If any one of you sees something wrong, he should seek to change it with his hands; if he is not able to do so, then he should speak out against it; if he is not able to do so, then he should at least hate it in his heart, and this is the weakest level of faith.” When I read this hadith, I think of Khader and his hunger strike and I remember my obligation on this earth—– to struggle for justice, always, regardless of the outcome, to give selflessly and to never surrender. Do not be sad Khader’s family. His sacrifice and suffering will not be in vain. Khader has moved the conscience of an entire nation. The world stands in awe of him. And regardless of what those in power say, Khader is our hero.

In peace,

Maha

There are no words to express the gift that you and your family have given us to risk your life to expose injustice. I hope you find your freedom here on earth but however you find if you will never be forgotten and your struggle will mark the end of silence in the face of global complicity. Administrative detention is a euphemism for indefinite and arbitrary detention itself a form of torture. They may have robbed you and your family of years together but they will never take your dignity. I can't express my heartfelt thanks for what you are doing for yourself your family Palestine and for the human rights of people Imprisoned everywhere. I am humbled by your strength determination and your righteousness In love and solidarity

Legend with a Legacy

Salaam
To the family of Khader Adnan,

It's with great honour, if you're able to read this message from me. Palestine is a country worth dying for, this land is blessed for us and even on a map; it may appear in crumbles. But in our hearts it remains FULL from the river to the sea... To the children, your father is a great man; NEVER let anyone tell you otherwise. He will be noted down in history, along with those, who have struggled for Palestine... Please do not think that we did not care, we always have... It's an unfair and cruel world we live in and you of all should know... But with love and peace, you can raise positive kids in a negative world...

God willing, I hope I get the honour to meet you all. I hope your father retains his health and if things turn for the worse, may the one above grant him the eternal rest and serenity of Jannah. Ameen.
