Solidarity from Ireland

Dear Khader,

What do you say to a man who is giving more then you could ever imagine yourself giving? All I think I can offer is the knowledge that your fight is not in vain. The history of our countries are different, but the same. I know your stories,I hear them from all around the world, I hear them from my mother. She tells me stories with tears in her eyes. Even now I cry for my grandfather and what he lived through as a child. But here's the hope I offer for you. My family fought, they hurt, they struggled. Life was tough, for generations. And not just war, but the struggle when you're not free, when you are not allowed to live as full human beings. But a hundred years ago my family dreamt that I would be free. And I am. Right now I am sitting in a warm room, with enough to live, and to live with dignity. I am studying for a masters degree. I can travel the world if I want. I can read all the books I want. I can speak my language. Things may change for the worse but I know I could overcome that. Their strength is in my blood. I feel them at my shoulder every time I go out and try to challenge something I think is wrong, when I try to stand up for others. I want you to know that your strength will pass on. Your daughters will know it and live it. Your grandchildren and great-children will know it. Palestine knows it and will feel it for generations. Go raibh maith agat, a chara. Cóimead do chroí. Thank you, friend. keep your heart.

Mise le Meas,

Kate

Thank You

Thank you for your courage and strength. Your actions demonstrate nothing that can defeat the will of a single human being, that we have it within us to stand up against oppression and injustice. You are both a hero and inspiration not only for the Palestinian cause but for the struggle for universal human rights. I pray that you are freed and reunited with your family! Thank you!

Dear Khader Adnan & family

Dear Khader Adnan & family,

Although thousands of miles of land and sea separate us, you are not far from my thoughts. You reflect the resilience and determination of your people, the Palestinians, who have faced and continue to face grave injustices and an unjust occupation. I really wish there was something else I can do besides offer prayers, asking God to keep you steadfast, to liberate your land and to give your people the peace and justice they deserve.

As you go on with your hunger strike, the thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions of people you have inspired with your struggle for dignity and justice, will forever remember you. You have touched all of our hearts, brought tears to our eyes and have strengthen our resolve to continue your fight for justice- for the end to an illegal Israeli occupation.

Although there are uncaring leaders in this world who may not give a single thought to your struggle, there are millions of people you have inspired, and will continue to inspire, that will continue your struggle.

It is unfair to your wife and your daughters that their husband and father has to go through this terrible experience. I can only imagine the helplessness they must feel, that the international community has not spoken on your behalf. Although I shouldn't have to, but please accept my sincere appologies for the silence, for the lack of outrage. I honestly cannot come up with one reason for why the world is silent. Please accept my appologies, and the appologies of the sincere individuals who stand in solidarity with your family.

Khader, you have incredible determination, will and patience, and I depart with these words from the Glorious Qur'an:

And be patient. Surely, Allah is with those who are patient. (8:46)
Only those who are patient shall receive their reward in full, without reckoning. (39:10)

In solidarity,

To brave Khader Adnan

Dear Mr. Khader Adnan

You don't know me, I live in the US. In a little state called Delaware.

This is what I want to say to you and your family. You inspire me. You are so brave, to be so close to death, and yet you hang on another day, and another day. Even though you are chained to a bed, you have more strength and fortitude in your little finger than all Zionists in Israel. They show their weakness, by not charging you and by chaining you up to that bed. I know that the Palestinian people will one day be free of the poison of the Zionists and you will live in a free country and one day this will be a free world where everyone, everywhere will be free.

Your father and your wife and two daughters are very brave two, standing by you the way they have and protesting your imprisonment. I pray for your family and your unborn child.

God is with you. My good will is with you. God bless you and your family and the Palestinian people.

Sincerely and with many prayers,

Shana L. Wilcox

My Gratitude Towards Khader Adnan

Dear Khader,

When I think of resistance and courage, I think of you. You are the perfect example of a strong resister, a strong believer, a strong fighter. Words aren't enough to express my gratitude towards you, you make all Palestinians lift their heads even higher. Khader, you make the rest of the world look like cowards, no one will ever leave an impact on the world like you. Your resistance against unjust laws, makes Israel boil with fear. The world is blind now, but in the end we will prevail. I hope god gives you even more patience and strength to represent us all as Palestinians. You represent our struggle for freedom, you can also say, we see you as a hero. Someone who will never be forgotten. When I think of what you have done, my mind goes blank, there are no words to describe the acknowledgement and thankfulness towards you. We are here, and we will support you until the end. God bless.

All the way from New York; much love from your Palestinian sister,
Nihal.
